The insurance has their adjusters working for their bottom line... you should have an adjuster working for your best interest. A Public Adjuster is an adjuster who works exclusively for you, the policyholder, instead of an insurance company. Many times allowing the Public Adjuster to handle your claim will get you a higher settlement and save you unwanted stress and headaches in a time of need.. Whether for your business claim or your residential claim, the Public Adjuster finds hidden damage, files your claim, and works zealously to get you all the money you deserve to put your property back to a pre-loss condition. While much of the public may be unaware of Public Adjusters, these professionals are a valuable resource when disaster strikes. Your insurance company has one driving force: To maximize profits for shareholders and owners. Public Adjusters fight to get the aggrieved property owner back to pre-loss value. Public Adjusters are not allowed in all states. Currently 44 states provide legislation for the licensing, authorization of, and/or regulation of Public Adjusters, including: NY, NJ, CT, MA, ME, VT, NH, VA, CA, NC, SC, WV, MD, MO, OH, WA, OR, AZ, CO, WY, MI, MS, PA, FL, LA, and TX. Public Adjusters are not licensed in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, South Dakota, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Accordingly calls to our number placed from within these states do not complete at all and we do not accept applications for use of our number in these states. We strongly encourage the legislatures in these six states to step up and enact legislation that would authorize and permit Public Adjusters.
