New American GFS Forecast Model Should Enhance Hurricane Track and Intensity Forecasting

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced a major upgrade to its American Global Forecast System*. This essential computer model predicts weather across the United States. With the new upgrade, we should be able to get a more accurate hurricane forecast, with information for up to two weeks into the future.
